Audi has given its Q2 SUV a special edition called Edition #1, which will be available for order this September.
The Ingolstadt brand will paint its smallest SUV with an exclusive paint finish, which is called Quantum Gray. The exterior will not end here, as the Audi Q2 also gets black and Manhattan gray exterior details, as well as a set of 19-inch alloy wheels. All of the above are standard features for the Audi Q2 Edition #1
As those that are familiar with recent Audi models and their design elements have already observed, the Q2 Edition #1 features the full S line exterior package. The kit includes a set of sporty bumpers, side sills, and a distinctive air diffuser.
The added parts are painted in a different shade of gray, as we have explained above. Another unique detail of the Q2 Edition #1 is the black C-pillar that features Audi’s four rings painted white.
Audi has not been generous with photos when it comes to this particular edition of the Q2. The German brand only posted an image of the Q2 Edition #1. However, we must note that Audi has already explained that the Q2 will feature leather upholstery, but this does not appear as a wonder to most of us.
The LED ambient lights can be set through the MMI to light up in a particular shade, as long as it is one of the ten ambient colors pre-programmed. Audi has already announced that all of the engine options available in the Q2 range can be had with the Edition #1 model.
Audi is not the first or only automaker to launch special editions of its cars shortly after market launch. Mercedes-Benz is known for its “Edition 1 models,” which are only available in the first 12 months of production for a newly-introduced car.
In the case of the Audi Q2, the German automaker has not specified how many versions like this will be available, or what will be the timeframe for their manufacturing.
It is evident that Audi is not selling a limited edition with this version of the Q2, so the only question that remains is how long will it be offered on the market.
