Audi Centre Parramatta Opens in Australia

The Australian division of Audi announced today the opening of the new Audi Centre Parramatta, the first of its kind in Western Sydney to follow Audi’s global ‘terminal’ style of architecture. The facility took no less AU$9 million to be built, starting in September 2009 and ending nine months later.

“This new showroom highlights the Audi brand’s ‘Vorsprung durch Technik’, or innovation through technology, with the latest architectural features,”
said Nick Pagent. “We want to give our customers every opportunity to satisfy their own personal requirements. This is why every Audi is something special and is usually a few vital steps ahead of its time.”

Audi Australia’s managing director, Uwe Hagen, said the new 40 car showroom is a clear reflection of the strength of the Audi brand in Australia.

“Our brand is growing steadily and sustainably in Australia. With their considerable investment in this new facility, it is clear that Ian and Nick Pagent have a lot of faith in the Audi brand to continue our successful run here,”
Hagen said in a statement.

Audi’s terminal style of architecture is based around the theme of dynamism. Simultaneously curved and arched features such as the windows and interior surfaces in the new 1,700 square metre building at Parramatta reflect this theme, and is also supported by the product on display.

Key brand values for Audi include ‘sportiness’ and ‘progressiveness’ which are reflected in the layering of curved and arched surfaces to create spaciousness, along with the use of transparent and opaque glass and frameless windows.
