Aston Martin Premium Experience iPhone App Launched

Following the free ‘Explore’ application for the iPhone released by Aston Martin back in December, the automaker today announced the availability of a new, premium version that comes with exclusive content and advanced telemetry technology.Together with the iPhone 4’s retina display, the app offers high definition images and video.

Built-in motion sensors, enable the telemetry functions, allowing the user to record forces acting on, and around the car, as well as lateral and forward stability during a drive.

Using the phone’s built in GPS technology hardware, users can check in to locations and share their experiences online. Further features include a camera function which allows passengers to film their drive experience, while an on-screen speedometer measures the speed of the journey and augments into the view.

A Speedometer features Launch mode allowing you to see the speedometer race upwards and hear the sounds of your chosen Aston Martin.  When on the move the user can measure speed via GPS with a faithful reproduction of the Aston Martin in car dial showing speeds in mph and km/h. By turning the phone horizontally, a digital version appears.

The Experience App includes the Accelerator featured in ‘Explore’ but now gives users the option of engine notes from the entire Aston Martin model range, including the 7.3 litre V12  One-77 supercar.

Regular updates will also ensure ‘ahead of the curve’ technology on all functions featured on the free and premium apps. Push notification will allow users to see all the latest Aston Martin news and exclusive content as well as all updates via the company’s social media presence on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
