ART G Streetline, Based on the Mercedes-Benz G55K AMG

The tuners from ART unveiled their latest contraption, the G Streetline, at the 2009 Dubai Motor Show, held between December 16-20. Based on the Mercedes-Benz G55K AMG, the G Streetline recalls the one-off ART AS55K Yaas Edition, created for the Royal Family of Abu Dhabi some five months ago.

Enhanced performance, an innovative lighting system, modification into a wide-body design, a superior wheel/chassis combination, and high quality interior improvements, are all part of the vehicle’s essential features.

The body kit comprises a new front bumper, new bonnet, a double beam xenon headlight set with LED daytime running lights and indicators, a running board with LED lights, fender extensions, rear LED lights and a roof spoiler, also with LEDs. The exterior styling appearance is completed by the 22-inch light alloy wheels shoed with 305/35R22 Pirelli Scorpio Assimetrico tires.

Moving on the engine and performance upgrades, ART says their G Streetline SUV reportedly develops 442 kW (601 hp) and close to 800 Nm, and reaches a top speed of 260 km/h (162 mph). The tuners applied the AS55K performance kit which includes Vmax removal, a large charge-air cooler, a six-pipe stainless steel exhaust system with two metal sports catalytic converters and a flow-efficient exhaust manifold.

Inside, the G Streetline features a Bordeaux red nappa leather interior with white contrasting seams, as well as a leather/ wood multifunction sports steering wheel, six black velour carpets and electrically-adjustable individual seats with a heat and ventilation function. Moreover, the speedometer clock face scale has been extended to 330km/h or 205 mph with embossed A.R.T. and G streetline labels.
