Anthony Davidson Wants Badoer's Place at Ferrari

The 30-year-old former F1 driver said he is capable of achieving better results than Luca Badoer. Anthony Davidson, who is currently a radio commentator for the BBC's Radio 5 Live Formula One coverage reckoned the Ferrari F60 is capable of scoring points.

The former BAR Honda test driver that briefly raced for Super Aguri in Formula One, said he is confident about his skills and doesn't mean it in an arrogant way. The Brit declared he will personally contact Ferrari for making his offer. "I will be speaking to Ferrari personally this week to put my name forward", said Anthony.

Davidson posses a Super License for driving in F1, thanks to his "reserve duties for Brawn GP earlier this year", reported GMM news. "Luca was not anywhere near scoring points and that car is capable of doing that", Davidson is quoted as saying by the Daily Telegraph newspaper.

"I'm ready and I think I'm better. That's not being arrogant. It's just what I believe. I've got the necessary experience that I'll get my chance in formula one –- so why not at Ferrari?", concluded Davidson.

Though certainly not lacking self-confidence, Anthony Davidson didn't manage to score a single Formula 1 point in his entire career. Because of Luca Badoer's modest performance and the Ferrari's F60 potential, we are sure to witness other rumors about possible replacements in the following days.

But sadly in our opinion, they might miss the point completely, as Ferrari showed a different attitude towards F1 this weekend. It was the Italian team's behaviour that honoured motorsport and not the desire to score points.
