While some might find making jokes over surgery a bit off, we're happy to see Ducati Corese's new rider Andrea Dovizioso on its way to better health. He's to undergo a surgical removal of the plate in his shoulder which, admit it, will make him lighter.
Now, the plate went there to secure his shoulder after a motocross injury earlier this year. It looks like Andrea has healed just right, so the doctors decided that the plate is no longer needed, hence the surgery scheduled for December 4th.

After almost switching bikes with Valentino Rossi, it looks like Andrea Dovizioso likes the Ducati machine and will get along quite well with it. Not sure how much whelp will the weight of the plate be, but it's about racing, and less weight equals more speed, right? Good luck Andrea, we're expecting a nice battle out there on the track.
