It will definitely be interesting to see how will the collaboration between Andrea Dovizioso and Ducati work out, with Valentino Rossi back to Yamaha, after a 2-year contract with disappointing results.
For starters, it's nice to see Andrea Dovizioso finishing the pre-season tests in Valencia just 1 second behind Dani Pedrosa riding his Repsol Honda machine. Ont he other hand, Rossi's debut on the Ducati bike 2 years ago set him back to almost double the time behind Casey Stoner.
Now, some say that Rossi and the Desmosedici just didn't get along and that's it, everybody back to the things they love, but the MotoGP is no school assignment you choose to do or skip. We're dealing with a very serious business, and things like “I just don't get along well enough with the bike” have no place here.
Despite the damp weather, Ducati and Dovizioso were quite happy with the result and claim that the few dry laps showed that there are more good things coming. The next test is going to take place in Jerez, November 28-30.
