Anderson Germany Releases Audi R8 Hyper Black Edition

You might need sunglasses to look at the Audi R8 soon, as the vehicle is under more and more spotlights thanks to the multitude of aftermarket packages that target it. The latest tuning development for the V10 incarnation of the supercar has been developed by Anderson Germany and brings a set of moderate tweaks that target multiple areas of the vehicle.

Dubbed the Hyper Black Edition, the package brings exterior, interior and powerplant developments. We shall start in the engine bay: the 5.2-liter V10 unit has been fitted with a custom exhaust, which is 22 kg lighter than the stock one, sports air filters and has received an ECU remap. The unit now churns out 589 hp, a decent increase over the 525 hp factory output.

As its name suggests, the vehicle uses an all-black theme, both for the exterior and the interior. The R8 has been gifted with a carbon fiber exterior package, which includes a front spoiler lip, rear spoiler, rear diffuser and the mirror caps. The car is dressed in what Anderson Germany calls Hyper Black. The R8 rides on 19-inch rims that are painted in the body color and feature Racing Orange edges.

As for the interior, this uses a mix of carbon fiber and Orange Alcantara and also comes with special elements, such as a sports steering wheel.

“Once the car reaches a road speed of 100 km/h, the rear spoiler moves automatically as if by magic. This street legal sports car that somehow has a look of UFO – albeit a fantastically beautiful – inspires respect to any Porsche. With 443 inches long, only 125 height and 1620 kg weight, this all-aluminum flounder is practically sticking on the street,” stated the press release, potentially generating hatred in the Porsche family.
