When you say Audi R8, one of the first things that comes to mind is “tuning kit”. This piece of news is no exception to the rule, presenting you a modification pack for the V10 version of the German temptress. Dubbed the “Racing Edition”, the package comes from Anderson Germany and targets both the vehicle’s exterior and its engine.
The V10 powerplant has received a new ECU software, a sports air filter, as well as a fresh exhaust system that uses racing cats. The exhaust system manages to cut 17 kg (37 lbs) off the vehicle’s weight and comes with special valves that allow the driver to adjust the sound.
The result of the modification is an output increase of 60 hp (over the engine’s stock 525 hp). This allows the vehicle to reach a top speed of 203 mph (327 km/h) .We’ll remind you that the stock version of the car can reach a 196 mph (315 km/h).
Anderson Germany has also fitted the R8 with an aggressive exterior kit that uses carbon fiber components.
“The ANDERSON GERMANY aerodynamic kit comprehends a brutal carbon front apron and rear spoiler for the downforce improvement, warranting for a persuading look and optimizing in the same time the aerodynamics of the vehicle by its agile design. Furthermore, the exterior racing packet is topped by a carbon diffuser, rear window bordering and carbon mirrors,” stated the press release.
The vehicle rides on custom 19-inch lightweight carbon-coated alloy rims that use 235/35 tires for the front axle and 295/30 tires for the rear one. The interior has been gifted with a carbon fiber trimming for door trims, radio frame, ashtray, gear stick frame, hand brake knob, steering wheel, as well as with a leather finish.
