Alonso Doesn't Like Red Bull

Fernando Alonso may not have driven the fastest car of 2010 in Formula One – not even the second best, if we're to look at the constructors table – but the Spaniard insisted there is no other place he would rather be than at Maranello.

Asked if he looks with envy at Red Bull Racing, who have clearly been the team to beat during the past campaign, the Spaniard said the satisfaction of driving for such a historical team like Ferrari is unmatchable. Besides, his personal choice in terms of energy drinks rests outside Austria.

From the outside it is difficult to imagine the satisfaction of being part of a team as great as Ferrari,” said the 2-time world champion in a recent interview with Spanish newspaper Marca, before joking a bit about a potential switch to Red Bull in the future. “Red Bull? I don't keep it in my fridge because I don't like it,” smiled the Spanish racer.

Linked with a future with Ferrari some day, Sebastian Vettel once more admitted that he would fancy an all-red suit one day. Ferrari or Mercedes, the two carmakers with the longest history in the Great Circus, are certainly teams to drive for in the years to come, but the upcoming 2 seasons he wants to hear nothing about them, argued the 23-year old champion.

No question, it is my wish and goal to drive for Ferrari one day. Or Mercedes, another legendary brand. But right now I'm happy. I have two more years of contract with Red Bull and we have big plans,” said Vettel in a recent interview with Sunday's Bild am Sonntag newspaper in Germany. The German driver has one more year of contract with Red Bull, but the Austrian team has the first option for a one-year extension for 2012.

Vettel's latest comments come to confirm that, as Red Bull, he also wants to continue his relationship with the Austrian team at least until the end of 2012.
