AC Schnitzer Kit for MINI Cooper Convertible

German tuner AC Schnitzer announced today their new kit for the MINI Cooper convertible, comprised of enhancements brought in all areas of the car: performance, exterior and interior. The tweaks are available for both the S and John Cooper Works versions.

For the MINI Cooper S, AC Schnitzer prepared an upgrade which will allow engine performances to be boosted from 175 hp to 208 hp, for the same 1.6l engine. For the export version, which developed 175 hp, the increase in power is bigger, now standing at 226 hp. The vehicle has also been fitted with the tuner's limited slip differential.

To increase road behavior, the Germans have fitted onto the Cooper new suspension spring kit and height-adjustable racing suspension, as well as an aluminum strut brace for the front. The Cooper rides on wheels of different types, with either Mi1 rims in 17-inch and Mi2 rims in 18-inch.

Visually, the modifications for both the exterior and interior made to the MINI include new front spoilers and rear skirts, decal sets in white, black or chrome/black, gear knobs, handbrake handle, pedals and foot rests in aluminum.
