A sad moment was captured on film in China a while back, when an avid automobile enthusiast noticed a rather peculiar BMW rusting away in a parking lot on Beijing’s Tuning Street.
The car that caught his attention was a rare AC Schnitzer E37 7 Series model that somehow made its way into China, despite not being officially imported in the communist country when it was brand new.

The ACS7 based on the E32 BMW 7 Series was actually the first car the Aachen-based tuner ever made, being launched back in 1987 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Back then the complete kit included a set of new wheels, a new exterior kit and a power upgrade for the engine that could extract up to 50 HP more from under the bonnet, depending on the displacement.

Either way, it was a true jewel back then and it’s still a rare bird today. Even though the white car we’re looking at here is pretty dusty, it seems to be in an overall good shape and, a little TLC could do miracles for it, restoring the Bimmer to its former glory.

Right next to it you can spot 2 more rare models, especially for China, two Rolls’ and a Mercedes-Benz E-Class from roughly the same day and age. Apparently someone wants to make some money.
