ABT Audi Q5 Gives You 310 HP

ABT is surely one of the most appreciated Volkswagen Group tuners in the world and its latest aftermarket package of Audi Q5 perfectly shows us why. As you can see for yourself in the adjacent photos, the resulting Q5 looks fairly appealing, featuring exterior and interior improvements on one side and engineering upgrades on the other.

The exterior for instance received an entirely new front apron, with a large front spoiler housing the fog lamps and a huge front grille that makes the Q5 a bit more aggressive than it currently is. Fender extension, door trims, 22-inch alloy wheels, four tail pipes and an ABT muffler are also included in the package. The interior has been slightly improved tough, as the decorative inserts made of carbon leather are the only new things that greet the driver when stepping in.

On the other hand, there are a lot of engine upgrades available. The so-called ABT POWER package raised the overall output of the 2.0-liter TDI unit from 170HP (125kW) to 190HP (140kW) while the 3.0-liter TDI engine now develops 310HP (228kW).

The gasoline engines have been upgraded as well, with the 2.0-liter TSI configuration putting out (177kW) instead of the standard 211HP (155kW) - an even more powerful version to produce 275 HP (203kW) will be rolled out in the near future according to the tuner.

Obviously, such a high power would require additional high-performance components, such as the braking units which now boast 380 mm discs and built-in flexible steel brake lines. In addition, the ABT engineers lowered the center of gravity for improved handling and control at higher speeds.

Unfortunately, there are no pricing details at this point.
