Fiat's separate tuning brand Abarth will attend the 2010 Geneva Auto Show - which by the way opens its doors to visitors next week - to show its latest contraption, including the tuned Punto Evo we're going to talk about.
Unfortunately, only a little is known about the car but according to autoblog.nl, the Abarth Punto Evo is going to be offered in two different configurations, as follows: a standard unit plus an Esseesse version, both of them equipped with a 1.4-liter Multiair engine. Obviously, Abarth brought its very own upgrades to the engines, so power output goes up to 160 and 175 horsepower, respectively.
The 160 hp Punto Evo will sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in around 7.5 seconds, while topping at 214 km/h (133 mph).
A similar engine is already installed on the Alfa Romeo MiTo QV, helping this model to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in around 7 seconds. Fuel consumption goes around 4.8 l/100 km (49 mpg), while emissions reach 139 g/km in combined cycle.
Beside the Punto Evo, Abarth will also display its very own version of the 500C at the Geneva Motor Show, the proud winner of the Gay Car of the Year award in 2010.
autoevolution will be attending the 2010 Geneva Auto Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
