One of the most shocking new cars of the year is the McLaren 650S. It came out in Geneva two months ago and surprised everybody by replacing the 12C it's based on instead of taking a niche above it.
More power and better handling are pretty much a guarantee, but we've never been sold on the looks. This latest set of photos, released only days ago by the automaker, take the supercar game to the next level. The 650S goes from a mild case of over-tuning to a Lamborghini lookalike who screams "I'm deadly and dangerous" everywhere it goes.

Yes, this is acid green, the sort of stuff you see on Kawasakis, 911 GT3s and occasionally on the Aventador as well. The overall effect is not something you're going to forget in a hurry, that's for sure!

McLaren prides itself on being not an ordinary car company, but an engineering firm, striving to improve its products all the time. With the 650S, they've obviously taken inspiration from the P1 hypercar and have grafted on a new front end.

Power is also up for the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8, which makes 650 PS and 678 Nm, 25 PS and 80 Nm more than before. This poison dart frog of the road will shoot straight as an arrow from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in 8.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 333 km/h (207 mph).

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
