Ever wondered how the Porche management board makes decisions about where the 911 line-up needs to go? If you haven't, that's alright, since we're here to a different purpose, namely to talk about Neunelfer drivers who decided to take the mix into their own hands.
This week, we've been showing you both real world and virtual realm examples of the 991.2 Porsche 911s that come in other forms than their maker intended.

And we're back with yet another example, namely a 2017 Turbo, one whose driver decided to go for a GT3 look. To be more precise, the man installed a GT3 engine lid on his Turbo, with the generous wing of the GT Division animal obviously included.

Given the center-lock wheels, which are an option on the Turbo and standard on the Turbo S and the ceramic brakes (the same goes for these), we expected this to be a Turbo S. Nevertheless, the front lip of the supercar, which is part of its active aero package, has the Turbo badge on it, hence the title we gave to the machine.

And this driver didn't do it for the show. The man gave up the active wing of the Turbo for the GT3's fixed element in order to enjoy the much-needed downforce during his track stints - as you'll get to see in the pice of footage at the bottom of the page, this Porscha gets to spend time on the Green Hell.

While you can skip to the 6:07 point of the clip for the Turbo-gone-GT3, the rest of the clip is also worthy of your attention, since we're talking about a compilation that showcases machines spitting flames on the Nurburgring.

As for the other Porschas we mentioned in the intro, the most interesting real-life example comes from a German Targa 4 GTS, which has been given a GT3 RS treatment that's much more complex than the one we have here.

Then we have the rendering side of the tale, which involves sweet pieces of Porschephile imagination, such as the 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 Carbon Package.
