$7.21M Aston Martin Sold in China

A limited edition Aston Martin was purchased for the price of $7.21million (EUR4,950,000) in China.

The Aston Martin One-77 sold in China is one of the five models available on the market. The total number for the One-77 model that the British automaker will produce is 77 units.

The vehicle is on display at the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show in China which represents an ideal place for a luxury car. Other manufacturers such as Rolls Royce, Jaguar and Land Rover hope to sell some cars of their own on the Chinese market too during the Auto Show.

The Aston Martin One-77 has a complete carbon fiber chassis and aluminum body. The engine is a 7.3 liter V12 unit that develops 760 hp (559 kW) which helps the vehicle accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just over 3.5 seconds and it will continue to accelerate until it reaches a top speed of 220 mph (354 km/h). The maximum torque level is 553 lb ft (750 Nm) which is more than enough in order to provide an adrenaline rush for the driver.

The transmission is rear mid-mounted and features electro-hydraulic control system. The gearbox is a 6-speed automated or manual that incorporates Auto Shift Manual (ASM) or Select Shift Manual (SSM) for the manual gearbox.

Brakes are provided by a Carbon Ceramic Matrix braking system that features Dynamic Stability Control and traction control system.

Suspension is pushrod actuated for front and rear and feature adaptive ride height. The body features a carbon fibre monocoque body structure with hand crafted aluminum exterior body panels.

The Aston Martin’s One-77 benefits from advanced technology such as active aerodynamics with deployable rear spoiler while the total weight sits at 3,310 pounds (1,500 kg).
