No, the final part of the title is no typo, the contraption we are dealing with here is called the Spool Bus and we have to admit it fully deserves its nickname.

This monster started out in life as a Chevrolet S-10, but it’s been transformed into a drag racing monster, albeit one that enjoys spending its nights, rather than its days, racing.
Its factory V6 engine was ditched in favor of a good old LT1, which means that, besides the grunt itself, this is also a project that honours the Bowtie.
The V8 was gifted with a monstrous turbocharger (an 80mm unit, to be more precise) and now delivers 700 horsepower. Remember, we are talking about the power to the wheels here.
Oh and we weren’t kidding about the school bus sign. Sure, the hardware is present just for the fun of it, but it’s hydraulically actuated and fully functional.
As we said, the Spool Bus likes to race on the street and while we don’t approve of such practices, it’s hard not to watch the vehicle closely as it plays its tricks on other racers.
While its appearance doesn’t exactly make it discreet, we can still call it a sleeper. As a result, the Chevy surprises most of its opponents.
The driver is well aware of his car’s capabilities and isn’t afraid to take on the big boys. For instance, he goes as far as racing a 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06.
