After having spent 60 years without even being moved, this 1928 Mercedes-Benz S-Type Sports Tourer (nowadays that name makes you think of an estate) has been ‘rediscovered’ and is now heading for auction at the Goodwood Revival Sale, an event set to take place on September 15th.
The price? Well, its owner wants to get around £1.5 (€1.8) million for what was one of the fastest cars of the period, reaching an unheard-of speed, back then, of 160 km/h (100 mph).

Barn finds are so exciting, especially for the people who make them, as well as everybody else who witnesses the half-rotten body of a classic car being dragged out of hay and decades worth of dust, dirt and spider webs.

Having been left in the barn since the 1950s (when the car was only 20-odd years old), it has been very well preserved, being a real treat for both its current owner and its extremely wealthy future owner.
