4 Supercars Duke It Out on the Ring

Well, this is something you don’t get to see everyday, a heavyweight boxing match, except it’s for cars, and not just any cars, but those which were born and bred for speed and class.

German auto magazine AutoBild have just released a video depicting some of the most desirable and the expensive cars ever made duke it out on the tarmac. The contenders are the Pagani Zonda F Clubsport, the Porsche Carrera GT, the Ferrari Enzo and the Maserati MC 12.

And where better for these cars to flex their mechanical muscles than on the prestigious German track, the Nurburgring. The battle isn’t a fair one, seeing as how three of these cars, all but the Pagani, are quite old and are already awaiting a replacement, but it does prove that still manage to set a benchmark after raising the bar all those years ago.

And none of the cars showed their age as the clip revealed and as the numbers still show. For those of you car atheists out there who don’t pay homage to the almighty car god, here are the numbers. Read ‘em and weep!

The Pagani Zonda F Clubsport has a top speed of 345 km/h, can do 0 to 62 mph in 3.6 seconds and has an estimated price of 1 million euro. The Carrera GT can go as fast as 334 km/h, accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 3.9 seconds and costs “just” 450,000 euro.

The sexy Maserati MC 12 Corsa tops at 350 km/h, reaches the 62 mph mark in under 3 seconds and will set you back 1,200,000 euros, making it the most expensive on our list. The Ferrari Enzo can top the Maserati’s speed, exceeding 350 km/h, but has a lower acceleration time of 3.6 seconds for the 0 to 62 mph mark, with a fraction of the cost, 675,000 euro. .

And exactly who won the race in the end? You’ll have to watch the video to find out, but we’re sure you’re going to be surprised.
