3M Goes Deeper into NASCAR

NASCAR announced today that its partnership with sponsor 3M, automotive, industrial, professional and home use applications manufacturer, will expand the categories for which it holds exclusive NASCAR marketing rights. From now on, 3M will have marketing rights for bandages, first aid supplies, braces and supports.

"We are truly excited to join 3M's portfolio of NASCAR Officially Licensed Products," Ty Silberhorn, 3M Consumer Health Care Division vice president said, according to NASCAR.

"3M and NASCAR both stand for innovation, quality and commitment to the fans of racing, so the association between our organizations is natural and mutually beneficial."

"3M has enjoyed a strong presence in our sport for a number of years on several levels," Odis Lloyd, NASCAR Automotive Group managing director continued. "To expand their sponsorship demonstrates the value of a NASCAR sponsorship and solidifies 3M as a strong partner to our success."

As a consequence of the new agreement, 3M Nexcare bandages and first aid tapes, ACE, Futuro and Tru-Fit support devices will from now on carry the NASCAR mark on their packaging and promotional elements.

As you know by now, NASCAR is among the few sport leagues out there to have created a marketing program for its established sponsors. This means that sponsor, aside from seeing their brand names during NASCAR races, can also brand their products using the NASCAR Performance product program logo.

"Partnering with NASCAR gives us an excellent platform to promote our wide range of products," Bob MacDonald3M Marketing and Sales vice president concluded.

"3M products have significant benefits for NASCAR fans and racers alike and our partnership is a great way to let people know about our innovative products."
