After carefully covering the ins and outs of the fantastic action that took place during the 2024 edition of TX2K, the good folks over at the racing-focused ImportRace channel on YouTube seemed ready to move on with footage from other minor events.
For example, they gave us solid evidence that Bradenton Motorsports Park in Florida remains one of the favorite venues in the Street Car Takeover calendar with a few examples, including an 860-hp Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat that almost lost its temper (read adhesiveness) when racing an Audi S5.

They also went back to their usual Island Dragway venue for another Test & Tune Day of action and showed us that even the mighty 1,025-horsepower 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 can get a nasty (six-second) surprise when dragging Mustangs and classic muscle cars. Now, though, somehow, they found some misplaced TX2K24 footage and decided to circle back to Texas.

Well, this just adds on top of the pile – Texas Motorplex and TX2K24 were both great at presenting crashes, drama, records, exotics, sleepers, and six-second wonders. No worries, this is more of the same, complete with the added sensation of stick shift quarter-mile dragstrip racing!

More precisely, they captured on footage the mind-blowing Chevrolet S10 that is allegedly running a 2,500-horsepower setup while doing the rounds at events for a couple of years already. On this TX2K24 occasion, it was paired with stuff to match, though – the Toyota Grannas Supra and The Grubb Worm Chevy Camaro! They're all monsters in their own right, mind you, so these skirmishes are certainly not for the faint of heart.

The first encounter is between the dark and menacing Chevy S10 that's all black save for the purple wheels and The Grubb Worm Chevy – it was close but not close enough, just to put everything into the proper perspective: they had identical reaction times, and the S10 won the skirmish after a 6.81s versus 6.84s pass!

Next up, things led into a case or two of obliteration – the Grannas Supra left out of its lane late, and the driver almost lost control of the monster, so obviously, the difference was higher: 6.77s versus 7.5s! Next up, a Corvette tried to intervene, and although the S10 didn't get its most spectacular pass, the other Chevy decided just to stroll along, hence the 8.92s versus 15.11s result.

Last but not least, there was also a rematch between The Grubb Worm and the Chevy S10 during the night hours, but it's entirely possible the fire-breathing turbo truck jumped the gun, received the red light at the start, and had to concede ultimate victory in favor of the Camaro even though it had a better 6.87s versus 6.97s ET! Well, those were some feisty passes, right?
