Harley-Davidson showcase their Forty-Eight bobber version for 2013, nifty piece of two-wheeled machinery boasting the classic looks and packing a lot of high-tech with it.
If there is one thing you'll notice first is the tapered peanut-shaped fuel tank, first to be installed on a H-D back in 1948. This iconic tank comes with a straight lower line, leaving more space under it and letting people get a better glimpse of the engine itself.
The new 2013 Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight comes with an air-cooled Evolution 73.3ci (1,200cc) engine with Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) and capable of delivering no less than 79 ft-lbs (107 Nm) of torque.
For the next year, Harley-Davidson has endowed the Forty-Eight bobber with under mount mirrors and forward controls, for a cool, classic look. A Hard Candy Custom paint option is also available in Gold Coloma flakes and clear multi-layer coating with hand-placed graphics.
US base prices start at $10,599 (8,239€) for the classic black Forty-Eight and reach $11,024 (8,570€) for the Hard Candy finish. Thousands of optional accessories are available through H-D dealerships, like always.
