Toyota has a lot at stake for 2024 because it needs to keep up with the tidal wave of introductions revealed last year, but it might also surprise us with some unannounced novelties.
Over in the United States, where Toyota will again try to snatch GM's sales crown after in 2023 it lost at quite a big difference (2.6 to 2.24 million deliveries), the Japanese automaker is coming out with the N400 Tacoma i-Force Max, the 2024 Land Cruiser, plus the 2025 Camry mid-size sedan and the 2025 Crown Signia crossover SUV. Notice how there's just one passenger car among them?

Well, the rumor mill thinks that CUVs and SUVs will continue to dominate the trends, and many folks are eagerly awaiting to see an all-new 2025 Toyota 4Runner come out to play with the Ford Bronco and Jeep wrangler, a potential revival of the Stout nameplate that will duke it out with the Ford Maverick and Hyundai Santa Cruz unibody compact pickup trucks, or even a 'baby' Land Cruiser trying to show the Ford Bronco Sport how a proper compact SUV needs to be done.

No worries, there are also other possibilities – and chief among them if you ask about the imaginative realm of digital car content creators, is the arrival of the sixth-generation iteration of the best-selling RAV4 compact CUV. The originator of the compact crossover SUV class has been around since the spring of 2018 in XA50 attire, and there has already been a 2021 facelift and a 2022 update. Naturally, that hints at a possible changeover in the near future.

Vince Burlapp (aka vburlapp on social media or burlappcar.com) is a prolific virtual artist with some fancy unofficial ideas about what's coming. Also, the good folks at TheAutoReport channel thought about the all-new RAV4 in fully electric form, so there's a world of opportunities to choose from in the attached gallery. For example, the hypothetical RAV4 EV was created with some CGI assistance by the resident pixel master of the YT channel – but it looks more in line with Toyota's design than anyone would have thought.

On the other hand, Vince has an entire collection of unofficial illustrations of what the next-gen Toyota RAV4 may look like – they start from subtle and go to extremes. So, what do you think? Is the Japanese automaker going down a safe route, just like with the not-so-all-new 2025 Camry, or is the company taking a leap of faith regarding their most prized crossover SUV with a revolutionary design and even a return of the fully-electric version?
