The 2024 Kia Sorento Hybrid can now be ordered in the United States. The model suffered minor changes that focus on the color palette and the trim options of the three-row SUV. The Sorento Hybrid is now available for order.
The all-new Sorento Hybrid returns with the reputation of a rugged-looking SUV. Kia unveiled the facelifted version of the fourth generation last summer and is now opening the order books for the hybrid variant.

Kia deleted the Runway Red exterior paint, even though the official photos show it in that shade, and replaced it with the Gravity Blue, which can be accompanied by the Navy interior color pack. The Navy interior includes front and rear seats in Navy perforated leather, but also a hint of blue on the steering wheel.

There is no black headliner anymore either, as Kia went for a gray one to match the navy theme. A slightly redesigned front fascia and rear end are on the menu as well. The carmaker brought new wheel designs to the lineup.

Despite the refresh, the 2024 Sorento still looks a bit outdated compared to the 2024 model year that sells in South Korea. That one comes with a totally different front fascia and rear end, sporting T-shaped headlights and taillights, but also a new curved display on board and a larger digital instrument cluster of 12.3 inches.

Meanwhile, the car that sells in the US gets two 10.3-inch screens, which are standard on all trims. It is probably the look that the fifth-generation Sorento might get on the American market. The heated and ventilated seats in the first and second rows kept their ground, while a large panoramic sunroof is also available.

The model is available in three trim levels: the EX front-wheel drive, EX all-wheel drive, and SX-P. The most affordable of them all is the front-wheel drive, which starts at $36,690. The variant with AWD is $2,300 more expensive. Meanwhile, the range-topping SX-P starts at $42,490.

The car is powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter petrol engine, which operates alongside a 44 kW electric motor. The system is linked to a six-speed automatic, which steers 227 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque to either the front wheels or both axles, depending on the trim. Kia brags about a best-in-class 37 MPG.

The 2.5-liter gasoline engine kept its ground in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged forms. There is also a plug-in hybrid in the lineup with 261 horsepower and an EPA-estimated 32 miles (51 kilometers) of electric range.

The 2024 Sorrento Hybrid measures 189 inches in length, 74.8 inches in width, and 66.7 inches in height, sporting a wheelbase of 110.8 inches. Those numbers translate into a generous interior space.

As expected, the Kia Sorento mid-size SUV hit showrooms in America in the fourth quarter of 2023.
