Including the $995 destination charge, the Z4 M40i for the United States market will be yours from $64,695. At that price point, expect a lot of standard equipment, including a one-year trial of Apple CarPlay for the BMW Live Cockpit Pro featuring 3D navigation and iDrive 7.0 infotainment.
The pricing comes courtesy of Supra MKV, along with the list of standard equipment for the Z4 M40i. As announced by BMW at the grand reveal of the G29, the 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline-six engine has 382 horsepower on tap, sent to the rear wheels by means of the eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission developed by ZF Friedrichshafen.
Being the range-topping Z4 for the 2019 model year, the $64,695 soft-top roadster further boasts M Sport brake calipers and rotors, M Sport differential, Adaptive M Suspension, Variable Sport Steering, Driving Dynamic Control, and Dynamic Stability Control. 18-inch alloy wheels finished in Orbit Grey, LED headlights, Satin Aluminum trim, ambient lighting, SensaTec upholstery, and 14-way power adjustable seats with memory function are also included.
In regard to convenience and technology, the 10.25-inch touchscreen is complemented by a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, garage door opener, auto-dimming rearview and side mirrors, and automatic climate control. The seats and steering wheel are heated as standard, and on the safety front, the Active Guard suite of driver-assist systems is supplemented by Active Knee Protection.
Supra MKV forum member Bryster also got ahold of the optional equipment list for the Z4 M40i, which kicks off with the Driving Assistance Package, Premium Package, and Executive Package. Further still, customers can specify Remote Engine Start, 19-inch wheels finished in Cerium Grey, the soft top in Moonlight Black, Aluminum with a Mesh Effect finish for the interior trim, Park Distance Control, Active Cruise Control, and even Wireless Charging for Qi-enabled mobile phones.
Last, but certainly not least, BMW is much obliged to change the interior trim to high-gloss black if the customer wants to admire his or her fingerprints at all times. Vernasca leather upholstery is also available, along with metallic paint options.
