With the regular Mercedes-Benz E-Class T-Modell dropping some of its camouflage in the latest spy photoshoot we've shown you, the sportier version of Stuttgart's finest wagon is doing the same. The only real drawback is that it's only showing us what we've already seen.
Nevertheless, being able to look at the car without it covered head to toe in that horrible black and white wrap is still helpful, and even though the interesting bits continue to hide, we can get a better idea of how the E63 Wagon is going to pan out eventually.

A sporty wagon the size of an E-Class is probably the best all-rounder that money can get. It's every dad's dream come true as it allows them to stack it up with kids and the junk they carry with them, but also have serious fun once there's nobody on the backseat that can throw up lunch all over the place. Its abilities are limited when it comes to off-roading, but so are those of most of today's crossovers and mild SUVs, if we're being honest.

The 2018 Mercedes-AMG E63 Wagon will be using the same powertrain as its sedan counterpart, meaning the 4.0-liter V8 we've come to know and love, only this time pumping out over 600 hp (that's more than any other Mercedes-AMG model using it, including the GT). Transmission duties will fall on the 7G-TRONIC seven-speed dual clutch gearbox, while all the other performance-related modifications will be present.

Count on larger air intakes, bigger wheels and brakes, more aggressive air diffuser, quad-exhaust and more prominent roof spoiler. The car should also handle nicely, with all that weight added to the back pushing the rear wheels firmer on the ground while also balancing the distribution altogether. And if you've noticed that the images show it going through a roundabout while it rains, then rest assured, you're not the only one.

Scheduled for an early 2017 release, the Mercedes-AMG E63 Wagon won't be the last model of the new E-Class family, which is still expecting a coupe and a convertible, plus their AMG versions. But considering the sedan was launched at the beginning of this year, there's still plenty of time for Mercedes' best-selling model.
