Since nobody lives under a rock, we'll assume you've already heard about the launch of the new 2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe. It's a big thing since this car is the best-selling hot Mercedes and, besides that, it's frigging awesome.
We've already covered everything there is to know about the new performance C-Class Coupe, so if you're interested go and have a look. This time, it's all about seeing the car in action in its natural habitat: the racing track.

We have to admit, we were a bit disappointed with the way the C63 S Coupe was driven at first. Well over a minute into the video and it was still cruising around the track like it was strolling down the boulevard on a Sunday afternoon. Even though the car looks marvelous, we would have liked more action.

Aaaand, here comes the first powerslide. OK, everything is right in the world again. And then comes the second, tires screeching, smoking, the whole deal. And we were starting to get worried we'll have to wait for Chris Harris' review for that...

The engine is gnarling continuously, but unfortunately is never revved too high so we can hear the engine tone when the needle enters the red zone. I guess we're gonna have to wait for Chris Harris for something after all.

The second video is a lot more tame. One could say even boring after watching the first, but it does provide the occasion of admiring this wonderful piece of design and engineering. And if you really get bored, there's always video number three.

This is basically a more energetic edit of the track shots in the first clip, with the added oomph of a rock music soundtrack. It's not rocket science, but it does the trick of pumping you up full of (unneeded, as you're sitting in front of a screen) adrenaline.

September will bring the full-scale launch of the new Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe and, after that, we all know what happens: test drives.
