Designated 2016 Chevrolet Camaro render artist chazcron added a few touches to his digital work with the upcoming pony/muscle car from General Motors.
And as the 3D modeling gets better and better in the fine details, we have a sneaking suspicion that the American automotive company may very well take us by surprise at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
What started as a simple pastime activity turned in a full-fledged hobby for the Camaro6.com member and by the looks of it, chazcron worked its magic as best as he could to turn spy photos of Camaro test mules into what you can admire in this latest rendering.
It does resemble the current generation of the breed, but the devil is in the details
More specifically, the 2016 model year Chevrolet Camaro borrows some exterior styling cues from a wacky Autobot we refer to as Bumblebee, the one from the fourth movie in the Transformers saga.
We expect the headlights and taillights to not make it into production, but as far as panels, creases and everything in between is concerned, this is 90 percent of how the long-awaited 2016 Camaro will be like.
Proper information on the 2015 Dodge Challenger and 2015 Ford Mustang’s rival is still scarce at the present moment, but expect its GM Alpha platform to keep the Camaro’s weight in check.
Last but not least, the oily bits - word has it a 2015 Cadillac ATS-derived 2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder mill is in store for us, as well as GM’s quick-shifting Hydra-Matic 8L90 eight-speed automatic.
