With the whole BMW world focused on the new 3 Series Facelift model, a lot of people forgot that the M3 also got a mild tune. As we reported a long time ago, the M car received a couple of tricks that are supposed to allow it to keep up with its ever closer rivals.
On the outside, the changes are restricted to the taillights that are now also sporting LEDs just like on the average 3 Series. However, the two are different as the LCI M3 sports a new, elongated turn signal compared to the regular car.

Since we’re talking about the exterior, we should probably also mention the new Individual paint colors that will be available, namely the Smoked Topaz Metallic and Champagne Quartz Metallic hues. They will be joining the other four Individual choices available right now, Moonstone Metallic, Pyrite Brown Metallic and our favorites, Tanzanite Blue Metallic and Azurite Black Metallic. Fortunately, the price you’d have to pay for these is rather decent at $1,950.

Inside the cabin, there have been some small changes as well. For example, the navigation system will be upgraded in order to allow over-the-air updates in the future. Furthermore, the trims have been changed, to cover more of the dash.

In the performance segment, things are just the same. That means we get the same 3-liter bi-turbo 6-cylinder inline engine with 431 HP and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque and the same gearboxes, unsurprisingly the acceleration remaining the same as well.
