As Toyota prepares to launch its new line of off-road ready trucks and SUVs, pricing has finally been announced for the 2015 Tundra TRD Pro Series. Not including the $1,100 destination charge, the 2015 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro Series will be priced starting at $41,285 for the Double Cab model and $43,900 for the more spacious CrewMax version.
Toyota has yet to announce pricing for any of the other 2015 Tundra models, but looking at 2014 model year pricing, these prices should put the TRD Pro Series models right in the middle of the Tundra lineup. Compared to the current model year, the 2015 TRD Pro Series represents a premium of $15,635 over a base model 2014 Tundra, and it is $1,295 more than the 2014 Tundra Limited 4x4. More importantly, it’s almost $4,000 less than 2014 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, which starts at $44,995.
To transform the standard 4x4 Tundra into the all-new TRD Pro Series, Toyota gave the truck a beefed-up suspension to handle the rigors of off-road driving to go along with a unique styling that makes this truck unmistakable. For improved performance, this Tundra received an upgraded suspension that added an extra 1.4 inches of travel at the front axle and 1.5 inches at the rear axle. All models will come standard with the 5.7-liter V-8, which will be paired with a TRD dual exhaust system.
The Tundra will be positioned at the top of the three-vehicle TRD Pro Series lineup with pricing for the Tacoma TRD Pro Series starting at $35,525 and the 4Runner TRD Pro Series starting at $41,110. The Tacoma TRD Pro Series went on sale this month, but off-road enthusiasts will have to wait until next month to check out the Tundra TRD Pro Series and 4Runner TRD Pro Series at Toyota dealerships.
