We’re just hours away from getting the full details on the 2015 Corvette Z06, and a few more official photos of the supercar have leaked onto the Internet, include a picture of the engine that will deliver the 620 HP and 650 lb-ft of torque we’ve been telling you about.
While previous reports claimed the car will be powered by either a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter, an all motor 7.0-liter or even a twin-turbo 4.5-liter, the photo confirms that the new Corvette Z06 sports a supercharged LT4 under its front hood.

The moniker was used by GM in the 1990s, when the LT4, a special high-performance version of the LT1, was dropped into the six-speed manual-equipped 1996 Chevrolet Corvette, 1997 Chevrolet Camaro and the 1997 Pontiac Firebird.

Scroll below for the first photos of the 2015 Corvette Z06 and stay tuned for the full details.
