A recent post regarding the BMW plans for next year on F30post.com might’ve revealed more than anticipated. BMW insider, Scott26 claims that the Paris Auto Show 2014 will be the place where the Bavarians will unveil the new X5 M and M4 Convertible.
Since he was right many times before I tend to believe him. It’s not just that it’s coming from him but it’s also because it makes sense. The moment would be perfect for both models and will coincide with the BMW MO.

That’s because by then the 4 Series Convertible will be 1 year old whilst the X5 will be even older, fitting perfectly within the usual interval between the launch of the regular production car and the launch of the M version.

As for the engines, don’t expect huge surprises. The Convertible will surely use the same engine as the Coupe M4 (3-liter bi-turbo) whilst the X5 M is expected to arrive with an improved version of the S63 unit that’s being used right now, dubbed S63B44T2 that’s expected to birng a bit more power and torque to the table whilst keeping emissions and fuel consumption in check.
