The M4 Gran Coupe is no longer a rumor or a model that enthusiast whisper to each other in dark corners, hoping that no one hears them. The M4 Gran Coupe is coming, you can be sure of that, just as the M6 GC came last year.
The new, 5-door M model will be using the same 3-liter biturbo engine from the M3 and M4 Coupe models, rated at 431 HP and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque.
When hooked up to a 7-speed DCT gearbox, the M4 Gran Coupe will probably be doing 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in around 4.3 seconds, just a tad slower than the 2-door version while when coupled with the new 6-speed unit, it will be even slower but more fun to drive.
The only thing we don’t know at the moment, is how it’s going to look. Well, the guys from TopSpeed put together a rendering of how the new car might turn out and they’re pretty much spot on.
