The BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe is definitely the most controversial car the Germans released in the last 20 years. Maybe more. That’s because everything happened way too fast.
The 3 Series Coupe was replaced last year with the 4 Series, removing 2 doors, only to have a new model released just 6 months later that had 4 doors and wore the same 4 Series moniker on the boot. People need time to adjust.
Either way, the car looks really good and the driving dynamics might be even better than on the 3 Series, with a lower center of gravity and wider track.
However, until we get to actually drive it, this is all just supposition. What we can do in the meanwhile, is configure one, online, using BMW’s visualizer that was just launched.
You can actually configure the car in any way you want, including using the Individual paints I told you about yesterday. The only thing missing is the pricing scheme that we're expecting after the car's world debut at Geneva.
