Every year the BMW M division sets up a special event for the brand’s (and division) fans. The M festival gathers thousands of fans from all corners of the world on the Nurburgring where they simply have fun. This year’s edition just got a nice little teaser.
Nice is a bit of overstating it as the whole thing has a rather ominous look to it that simply is enticing enough (they hope) to draw big crowds to the Green Hell this year.

Considering the popularity of the thing, we’d be safe to say that this is one of the biggest motoring events of the year in Germany, close to the impact the Wothersee festival has. The only difference is, this is using only BMW M cars instead of Volkswagen’s entire brand.

This year will be the fifth time this show is being held and it will kick off on May 15 spanning over three days until May 17th. Guests will be welcomed with their own M cars to drive on the famous Green Hell.

It will be at that time that the famous 24-hour Nurburgring endurance race will also be held and the members of the BMW M Community will get access to some exclusive VIP areas right next to the race course.

The VIP package includes the ticket for the race but also an invitation to the M Night where a new model could be revealed. Last year, for example, it was the moment the Performance Package for the M5 and M6 models was unveiled. Maybe we’ll get to see the M4 GTS this year, who knows.

You’ll also be on the receiving end of a BMW M Driving Experience package, VIP catering, a paddock tour and parking. The cost for all of this is €450 including VAT and it’s a bargain. Of course, that’s if you live in Germany or nearby Europe. If you also have to buy airplane tickets, you might want to give it a second thought.
