The new RS3 Sportback may have captured all our attention today, but it seems another fresh Audi to be noticed. Leaked photos of the all-new second-generation Q7 SUV have just hit the webs and we can't say we love what we see.
These three Q7 images show a blue SUV with the 3-liter TFSI engine, the S line body kit and some rather sexy blue paint. Even if Audi is trying its hardest to make it look sporty, this model isn't in the same league as the Range Rover or BMW X5. Still, fans of the brand will probably like it.
Just like the new TT, the design is more evolutionary than revolutionary, taking quite a few design quest from the older model that has sold so well over the years. This includes the flared wheel arches and the extra-wide trunk lid.
The upside is that a new design language has been introduced for the front end of the SUV. Just like on the Q3, the headlights connect to the extra-large silver grille to form a wider look for the front end. Both the taillights and headlights have a very familiar LED design which we've seen already on the A6 and A7 facelifts.
As for the interior, of which we only have one photo courtesy of Indian Autos Blog, well that's actually a lot better than before. It's elegantly simple, featuring the Virtual Cockpit from the TT, a de-cluttered center console and a pop-up screen in the middle, just like the A3 range. The steering wheel is small and the central console has been made extra-wide, now accommodating two cup holders, a knobby gear selector and MMI touchpad, like the one on a laptop, instead of a dial.
