Yamaha shows a picture of their 2014 Star Raider machinery and adds the bike will be made available from July this year, for a base price of $14,990 (€11,235). As Star mentions the Rapid Red as the available color scheme, we figure out that the 2013 Raider will be available only in this attire.
The 2014 Star Rider evokes the look of custom, bikes, with lush chrome details and a laid back riding position, furthermore enhanced by the big-rake fork and classic lines. The 39-degree rake comes from the 33 angle of the fork, but with the addition of a 6-degree yoke to settle the matter for good.
At the heart of the 2014 Star Rider we get a massive 113cui (1854cc) EFI v-twin, providing pounding power and plenty of torque for both mountain road cruising and highway speed thrills. The power unit sports the same 12-hole injector of the other 2014 big-bore machines, and the 2-into-1silencer comes with the Exhaust Ultimate Power valve for torque control.
The cast 5-spoke wheels are a great match for the aluminium frame and the 21" front wheel looks even nicer with the 46mm forks and generous fender. Full disc brakes help riders tame the 2014 Star Raider for a reassuring experience.
