Mercedes has revealed the 2014 S-Class in Hamburg, Germany last night and now the carmaker has released a video that showcases its safety technologies.
The 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is gifted with what the company calls six eyes and six ears. This refers to its sensors and cameras, respectively, which allow the car to feel the world outside. All the information coming from these sources is brought together, with the car promising to act as a human brain.

Thus, Mercedes brags that the new S-Class can anticipate the movement of pedestrians and other cars around it, reacting swiftly in an emergency situation. The vehicle is loaded with safety systems, such as the Distronic Plus active cruise control that can also handle the steering and the Active Lane Keep Assist.

You can see these safety features at work in the clip below and, in case you’ve missed the aforementioned live reveal, you’ll find that at the bottom of the page.
