The major update (read minor refresh) features a redesigned front grille, a revised rear bumper, the addition of HID Xenon headlamps and LED taillights to the options list and new 17 and 18-inch wheels.

Moving into the cabin, the vehicle now sports a restyled instrument cluster, leather-wrapped steering wheel (SE & Limited models), a new 8-inch navigation system, color audio screen, carbon fiber trim (SE), and a ventilated driver seat (Limited).

As far as standard features go, potential Hyundai owner should know the automaker added Driver Selectable Steering More, Vehicle Stability Management, Tire Pressure Monitoring and a new sport-tuned exhaust for the 2.0T SE model.

Motivation is provided by the same pair of engines - the 2.4-liter inline-four rated at 190 HP (24 mpg city/35 mpg highway) and the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that delivers 274 HP (21 mpg city/32 mpg highway). Pricing of the 2014 Sonata starts at $21,350, not including destination, and go as high as $28,650.
