Another week, another order guide leaked. This time it’s the 2014 Chevrolet SS, GM’s high-performance rear-wheel sedan we’re all waiting to hit dealerships during the fourth quarter of this year.
It’s not that the order guide reveals something we didn’t know about the new SS, but it’s nice to get it early and have every little detail in one place. There’s a long standard, as we already pointed out back in June, and only three options are available, including a power-operated sunroof ($900), a full size spare tire ($500), and a choice of five exterior colors.
The 2014 Chevrolet SS is powered by a brand new LS3 6.2-liter V8 engine that delivers 415 horsepower (310 kW) and 415 lb-ft of torque (563 Nm), pushing the car from 0 to 60 mph in 5 seconds. The new sedan will go on sale from $44,470, including the $995 destination fee.
