The 2014 BMW X5 will hit US dealerships with a wide range of updates and new features later this year. Available with a choice of three engines, the brand-new Sports Activity Vehicle has received a starting price tag of $53,725 over the Pond, which translates into an entry-level rear-wheel drive sDrive35i version.
Powered by the company’s 3.0-liter TwinPower turbocharged inline-six engine rated at 300 HP and 300 lb-ft of torque, the entry-level gasoline model can also be had with all-wheel drive under the xDrive35i moniker for at least $56,725. Next in line is the diesel version, with its 255 HP and 413 lb-ft of torque coming from a 3.0-liter diesel unit, that will have a base sticker of $57,525.

For the range-topping xDrive50i, which comes with the bigger 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbo mill and an exciting amount of 445 HP and 480 lb-ft of torque under the hood, customers will have to look for at least $69,125 in their bank accounts. All prices include the $925 destination and handling fee.

The new BMW X5 will become available in US dealerships later this year, with the diesel variant to be introduced in early 2014. All US market versions will sport the ZF eight-speed automatic transmission as standard. For more info, download the company press release below.
