It looks like the 2013 World Superbike and World Supersport season will come to an early end, as the FIM announces the canceling of the Indian round scheduled for 17 November at the Buddh International Circuit.
According to the FIM press release you can find after the jump, Jaypee Sports International Ltd (JPSI) and Dorna World SBK Organization (DWO) have decided to cancel the event out of "operational challenges".

The terms used most likely signify that the Buddh circuit failed to comply with the safety standards of the bodies regulating the WSBK and WSS road racing. Whether this is because of physical safety measures or insufficient training of the Marshals corps and other race-related personnel, it still remains a mystery.

As far as we are able to read between the lines, the Buddh circuit remains a viable option for the 2015 season, in case the Indian raceway will be able to comply with the increasing safety-focused standards imposed by the FIM and Dorna Sports.

The next round in the series is at Nurburgring in Germany, 1 September, for all three classes: Superbike, Supersport and Superstock. India out, this also means the championship ends on 20 October at Jerez, in Spain.
