The 2013 Sturgis Bufallo Chip sounds more and more interesting, and here's some more news: daredevil "Mad Mike" Hughes plans a huge rocket cycle jump this year.
Those of you into this kind of stunts have most likely already guessed it: it's a crazy jump inspired by Evel Knievel and his (failed) 1974 jump across Snake River Canyon in Idaho. Hughes' machinery should reach 275 mph (442 km/h) and propel him 1000 feet high (333 m) for a 1/4 mile (400 m) jump.

If Hughes makes the quarter mile, we could say he kind of succeeded where Knievel failed. However, Mad Mike plans a Snake River jump in 2014. His attempt will take place at the Bufallo Chip on August 6th and in case everything goes well, it's straight in the Guinness Book of World Records for him.

We remind you that the 2013 Sturgis Bufallo Chip motorcycle rally will be held July 31st – August 11th in Sturgis, South Dakota.
