The 2013 Star Raider brings together the classic chopper lines and the sheer aggressivity of dragster bikes. The resulting machine looks beautiful but has its thorns, also.
A no-nonsense 1854cc V-Twin engine breathes fire in the middle of its darkened body, and the massive 2-in-2 exhausts will surely tell everyone about the fiery inferno in its cylinders. With a 30 degree rake and an additional 6-degree yoke, the 2013 Star Raider looks like any custom bike would: sharp and mean. And the streamlined angles of its design don't make it any happier.
We totally love the sloped rear fender following the lone of the tank, backbone and rider seat, in such a neat opposition to the lean fork. The cast rims and fluid-line spokes and also on the dark side of design.
The 2013 Star Raider comes with a hardtailer's looks but its rear shock is there, tucked carefully out of sight. Front and rear monoblock calipers squeeze large-diameter discs for firm stopping force, and choosing a belt final transmission was the perfect idea. The 2013 Star Raider is to be found in dealerships starting September 2012, and can be taken home for $14,890 (€11,673).
