Chrysler is now working full throttle to develop the new generation of the Dodge Viper, with the company recently announcing that it will resume activity at the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit, Mi late next year to produce the fresh 2013 SRT Viper.
Yes, the 2013 SRT Viper, this will be the name of the supercar from now on, which means that it will no longer belong to the Dodge brand. The Viper didn’t need any identity boost, but it seems that it has received it, as the new designation is better focused.
"The next generation Viper will make its return to the product lineup in late 2012 as a 2013 model," SRT Brand and Motorsports CEO Ralph Gilles said. "We're extremely excited that our ultimate American sports car will continue to live on and be produced exclusively here in the Motor City."
