The 2013 SRT Viper is now available with an optional Track Pack for both the regular and the GTS version.
The newly introduced package, which includes several weight saving updates, makes the regular Viper 32 lbs (14.5 kg) lighter, while the more powerful GTS loses 62 lbs (28.1 kg).
This is all thanks to the all-new, lighter brake rotors as part of an upgraded Brembo kit, new brake cooling system, new wheels and Pirelli P Zero Crosa tires designed to be "especially effective on the track in the 100 mph-plus range".
"A customer's perception of the brake system depends very much on the way the driver uses the car," says Graham Henckel, Chief Engineer of the SRT Viper. "The faster you go, the greater the advantage."
To further improve track performance, the new package also includes a four-mode traction and stability control system.
Pricing information is not yet available, but we'll get back to you as soon as SRT spills the beans.
