The 2013 Polaris Sportsman X2 550 is as cool as work-focused ATVs get: this machine can change into a trail-fun machine in three easy and quick steps, allowing the rider to pick one passenger for off-road explorations.
The X2 comes with an innovative rear dump box, which includes the passenger backrest. It can serve as a convenient loading bed for hauling loads around, but when the work is done, it transforms into a second seat in just 10 seconds.

On the tech side, this middleweight beast comes with all the nifty things Polaris has gotten us used in their 2013 models: the acclaimed on-demand AWD and RWD VersaTrac Turf Mode with unlocked rear differential to preserve the sensitive surfaces such as grass, Active Descent Control and engine braking for safer riding on steep gradients.

The massive 235 kg (520 lbs) racking capacity is surpassed only by the figures when it comes to towing loads: the 2013 Polaris Sportsman X2 550 can tow as much as 680 kg (1500 lbs) and 50% more on an unbraked trailer, so this is indeed a true mechanical mule which won't tire.

With numerous Lock & Ride accessories available as optionals, the 2013 Polaris Sportsman X2 550 retails for a base price of $8,999 (€6,840), which also makes it affordable as it is fun, too.
