The 2013 Polaris Sportsman Touring 550 EPS is a nifty two-up off-road machine created for those who are looking for a beast that's easier to tame than the big-bore ATVs out there, and are also on a budget.
This half-liter class ATV makes no compromise as far as performance is concerned, as it boasts all the premium features of its bigger siblings, from the smooth, easy-to-use automatic transmission to the Active Descent Control and Engine Braking systems making life so much easier on steep gradients.

With independent suspensions and spring-mounted pillion seat, the 2013 Polaris Sportsman Touring 550 EPS also sports the acclaimed Variable Assist power steering system offering easier turning at low speed and fatigue-free riding all day long on the roughest ground. And with anti-kickback steering thanks to the steering axis positioned near the center of the tires, riding this quad on the most unwelcoming terrain types is even easier.

Polaris know that ATVs must also be dependable workhorses, so they offer easy transformation for this one: both passenger seat and hand grips go on and off in seconds, allowing the rider to use the rear of the Sportsman for accommodating hefty loads in the optional cargo box.

The racks of the 2013 Sportsman Touring 550 EPS can be loaded with up to 360 lbs (165 kg) of gear, and together with the massive towing capacity (1,500 lb or 680 kg hitch, 1,995 lb or 905 kg unbraked trailer), this nifty quad can also serve its master well in a lot of situations. Prices start at $9,299 (€7,100).
