Chrysler knew that all the attention at the Detroit Auto Show would be drawn in by the new Corvette. But we know the SRT Viper is still the top-shelf toy in the US, and so we took interest in the accessorized bad boy that we found at the Mopar stand.
Production of the 2013 SRT Viper has just started, the first one having been given to its owner by Gilles and Marchionne. Soon, buyers will demand something more from their venomous snakes, and the Mopar parts catalog with over 50 add-on available is just the ticket.

The list of mods includes cat-back exhaust system, improved suspension and a host of carbon fiber everything: engine covers, rear spoiler and even interior trim pieces made of the stuff.

"By itself, our all-new SRT Viper stands out from the crowd," said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group LLC's service, parts and customer-care brand. "For those owners who want to take the next step in customization and personalization, Mopar stands ready with more than 50 quality-tested performance parts and accessories."

All we know is, this car will make you feel like an animal on the prowl. Well done Mopar. Well done SVT.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
